Written by Dr. McKay on Dec 15, 2015

You take great care of your smile. You maintain your dentist-recommended schedule of professional cleanings. And, yet, you’ve noticed that your smile is slightly cracked or chipped. What’s going on here?

Our Glendale dentists know that sometimes, despite our best efforts, teeth just sustain minor dental damage. That is why we offer multiple treatments to help patients repair their smiles in a short period of time! Depending on the state of your smile you might achieve the results you want with just one type of treatment, or you might choose to combine different options for best results.

When you come in to meet with our dental team we’ll be able to give you a better idea of which of these treatments might meet your needs:

CEREC crowns

Crowns are used when your tooth is damaged due to infection or a large chip/fracture. In our office we utilize CEREC technology, so we can actually craft your crown in just one appointment while you’re in the dentist’s chair. Every crown is crafted to fit the patient’s tooth exactly, and to blend with the patient’s natural smile.

Dental bonding

Dental bonding is a great way to correct minor dental damage. Using dental resin, our dentist will fill in dental cracks and rebuild chipped portions of enamel. Resin is completely customizable in color and shape. Dental bonding takes just one appointment to complete.

LUMINEERS

These porcelain restorations are designed to cover the visible surfaces of a patient’s tooth. So once our dentist places your LUMINEER over your enamel, your tooth will look whole and blemish-free. LUMINEERS can also be used to make your smile look whiter and straighter. Our dental team can generally complete LUMINEER treatment in just two or three dental appointments.

There is no need to live with dental damage—we have the restorative treatments that you need to smile confidently again! Call our Glendale dentist to learn more or to schedule a consultation.
