Here’s The Process For Receiving CEREC Crowns From Our Glendale Dentists

CEREC crown technology has been revolutionary for many dental patients, because this treatment allows you to get the high-quality restorative crown that you need in just one day. In order to help you feel more familiar with the benefits and realities of CEREC treatment, our team is providing a short overview of the process!

The key benefit of CEREC technology is that it allows our dental team to design and craft your restoration while you are in the dentist’s chair.

When you come into the office with a tooth that has been damaged—due either to infection or dental trauma—our team will go to work restoring your tooth. The purpose of a dental crown is to make your tooth look whole and natural again, and to keep your tooth functional, so that you can eat and drink normally.

After our team removes any infected or damaged dental material from your tooth, we will prep your tooth for a crown; this may involve shaping your dental enamel to ensure a good fit with a restoration. Once this step is complete our dentist will take digital impressions of your prepped tooth.

This information is then input into the CEREC machine, which will then mill your ceramic crown to fit your specifications. Once the milling process is complete, it is time for us to test and refine your restoration!

The final step in the process is to permanently attach your crown to your natural tooth. Once we bond your crown to your tooth, you will be able to eat your favorite foods, drink your favorite drinks, and keep up with your normal daily routine.

When you choose CEREC crowns you don’t have to bother with scheduling multiple dental treatments and wearing a temporary restoration. If you want more information, or to schedule a personal consultation with our team, please contact our Glendale dentists!
