If you’re living with a damaged smile, then you probably already know how disruptive this can be both psychologically and functionally. Our Glendale dentists are here to provide the restorative care that you need to smile confidently again. In today’s article, we are giving you some more information about the specific treatments and technologies that we use to correct dental damage.
If you have a small cavity, you may be able to get the quick and effective treatment that you need with a simple filling. Our team uses metal-free fillings to fill in those spots of the tooth that have been removed due to damage and infection.
Our team also uses CEREC crowns to rebuild damaged teeth. CEREC technology allows our team to design, craft, and place your restoration right here in our office during your appointment. This means that you don’t have to worry about wearing an ill-fitting temporary crown while you wait for your crown to be completed. Every CEREC crown is customized in shape, size, and color to fit with the patient’s existing smile.
Patients with severely damaged teeth may need to undergo root canal therapy prior to being fitted with a crown or restoration. During root canal therapy, our dentist clears away any damaged dental material, as well as the dental pulp that sits in the core of the tooth. By removing all of the nerves and dental roots, our team is able to preserve the remaining healthy dentin and dental enamel. Once the tooth is completely cleared out and cleaned, we can fill the inner tooth structure with a restorative material, and rebuild the outer portion of the enamel. Root canal therapy allows our dentist to save teeth that would otherwise fall out, or need to be pulled.
Our Glendale dentists firmly believe that no smile is beyond help. We offer the comprehensive restorative treatments that patients need to overcome oral health issues and reclaim strong healthy smiles. Give us a call to schedule your consultation with our team!
