If your smile is damaged, you want to make sure that you get restorative dental treatment as quickly as possible. The sooner that you get the dental treatment that you need, the less likely you will be to suffer from unwanted complications of dental damage.

In order to make restorative dentistry as convenient and fast as possible for you, our Glendale dentists are happy to bring you CEREC crown technology. Let’s learn more about why patients of all ages are turning to CEREC restorations when they need to restore their smiles.

“CEREC” is an acronym that stands for “Chairside Economic Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics.” Basically, CEREC technology provides a fast and efficient way for our dental team to create and place dental crowns.

Rather than having a dental crown crafted in a laboratory off-site, our dental team can make your dental crown during your appointment. Using CEREC technology our dentist will input the specifications of your restoration, and then the machine will mill your brand new restoration from a block of porcelain.

As soon as the restoration is complete, our dentist will make sure that it fits perfectly. Then, our dental team will put this permanent restoration in place, and attach it using dental-grade adhesive. You will leave your appointment with a restored smile and a fresh and attractive dental crown.

Many patients love CEREC crowns because, using this technology, one does not need to wear a temporary crown at all. Traditionally patients have temporary crowns in place as they wait for their final crowns to be milled in a lab. CEREC technology eliminates this inconvenience.

If you have a damaged or infected tooth, you will likely need a dental crown in order to restore your smile. Talk to our Glendale dentist office about what CEREC technology can do for you!
